Football Recap: Knight Hawks vs. Eastside Lions
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Knight). Everything went their way against the Eastside Lions on Friday as the Knight Hawks made off with a 44-18 victory. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by exactly 26 points.
Knight can attribute much of their success to Sincere Thomas Pree-Sawyer, who rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Thomas Pree-Sawyer has posted since back in September. Dametrius Bob got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Knight was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 260 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Knight didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jason Merino, Bob, and Mykel Jenkins picked up one apiece.
The win made it two in a row for Knight and bumps their season record up to 2-8. As for Eastside, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-9.
As of now, neither Knight nor Eastside have any future games scheduled.
