Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Waterford walked away with it. They blew past the Pius XI Catholic Popes 71-44 on Friday. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Waterford's eighth in a row) raised their record to 22-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points over those games. As for Pius XI Catholic, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-15 record.

Waterford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-46 win against Waukesha West on the 8th. Pius XI Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
