Softball Recap: Palm Harbor University Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Palm Harbor University couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Steinbrenner Warriors by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hurricanes have suffered since March 8th.

Ella Gill made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3.

Palm Harbor University's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Steinbrenner, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Palm Harbor University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Steinbrenner, they will challenge Parrish Community at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulls have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
