Basketball Recap: Livingston Academy Takes a Loss

Livingston Academy lost against Heritage back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Livingston Academy Wildcats lost to the Heritage Mountaineers on the road by a 71-56 margin. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Mountaineers are ranked seventh).

This is the second loss in a row for Livingston Academy and nudges their season record down to 18-13. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Heritage, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-2 record this season.

Livingston Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage, they will challenge Portland on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Portland sitting on seven straight victories and Heritage on nine.
