Soccer Game Preview: Warren Township vs. Glenbrook North

The Warren Township Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Glenbrook North Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Glenbrook North took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Warren Township, who comes in off a win.

Glenbrook North better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Warren Township's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Warren Township really gets things going. The Blue Devils blew past Wauconda 5-1. That's two games straight that Warren Township have won by exactly four goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Glenbrook North was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They came up short against Libertyville, falling 4-0. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Glenbrook North it sure didn't stay that way.

The victory made it two in a row for Warren Township and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matches. As for Glenbrook North, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Warren Township skirted past Glenbrook North 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
