Basketball Recap: East Comes Up Short

East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Central Blue Eagles, falling 48-12. If East was looking for revenge after losing 62-12 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

East's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East will be home for the holidays to greet Winnetonka at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Central and Plattsburg will compete for holiday cheer at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Central is facing Plattsburg at the right time seeing as Plattsburg is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
