Baseball Recap: Morton Comes Up Short

Morton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forest Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-7 last Tuesday.

Morton's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Forest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12.

Morton has already played their next contest (against Magee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Forest, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Forest Bearcats duke it out with Mendenhall Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
