Preview: Indian Lake Lakers vs. Graham Local Falcons
Indian Lake is 8-2 against Graham Local since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Indian Lake Lakers will be home for the holidays to greet the Graham Local Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Indian Lake is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
Last Saturday, Indian Lake lost to North Union at home by a decisive 46-29 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Indian Lake has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Graham Local had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They managed a 58-52 victory over Northwestern.
Graham Local's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hailey Nash, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Nash is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Bailey Britton was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Indian Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Graham Local, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Indian Lake beat Graham Local 50-37 in their previous matchup back in January of 2022. Will Indian Lake repeat their success, or does Graham Local have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
