Northside had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Holy Spirit Catholic Saints. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Northside easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16.

Haley Brooke Lyons paced Northside's offense, picking up six kills. Lyons got some help from Aiden Sharbutt and her 17 assists. Claire Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Northside's victory bumped their record up to 26-2. As for Holy Spirit Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

Coincidentally, Northside and Holy Spirit Catholic will both be playing Tuscaloosa Academy the next time they take the court. The Saints will head out to face the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
