Basketball Recap: Boerne Skates Past Alamo Heights with Ease

Boerne won the last time they faced Alamo Heights and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Boerne Greyhounds claimed a resounding 65-27 victory over the Alamo Heights Mules. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Alamo Heights still got an impressive performance from Berkley Hart, who posted 18 points in addition to five boards and three blocks. Hart's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The win was the third in a row for Boerne, bringing their record for this year to 10-9. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Alamo Heights, they moved to 9-11 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boerne will venture away from home to take on Floresville at 2:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Alamo Heights, they will head out to challenge Pieper at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pieper is on a six-game streak of home wins, Alamo Heights a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
