Basketball Recap: Wabasha-Kellogg Comes Up Short

Wabasha-Kellogg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 64-43 to the Southland Rebels. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Despite the loss, Wabasha-Kellogg saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addisyn Quade went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points. Jessalyn Adams was another key player, putting up ten points.

Even though they lost, Wabasha-Kellogg smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

Wabasha-Kellogg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Southland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
