Hampton County won the last time they faced Bridges Prep and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hampton County Hurricanes blew past the Bridges Prep Buccaneers 67-37. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Hampton County was led to victory by Travaih Henderson and Lyric Jones. Henderson went 7 of 10 to rack up 19 points and three steals, while Jones went 6 for 15 on her way to 13 points and five assists. Those 19 points gave Henderson a new career-high. Malayah Green was another key player, putting up six points and four steals.

Hampton County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Despite the loss, Bridges Prep saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addie Taylor dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Taylor has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 14 times she's played.

Hampton County's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.2 points. As for Bridges Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Hampton County has already played their next contest, a 51-40 victory against Whale Branch on the 7th. As for Bridges Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-37 loss against Lake Marion on the 7th.
