While Ashe County put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for North Wilkes. The Ashe County Huskies were the clear victor by a 24-0 margin over the North Wilkes Vikings. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

A big part of the win came down to the chemistry between Bryce Peters and his top target Bridger Fairchild. Peters threw for 228 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes while Fairchild picked up 154 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Fairchild was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 55 yards.

Ashe County's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Andrew Minerva.

Ashe County's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0. As for North Wilkes, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
