Softball Recap: Waynedale Takes a Loss

Waynedale lost against Triway back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Golden Bears lost 20-9 to the Titans. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooke Compston and Kendall Rising stepped up to the plate in a big way. Compston went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Rising went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was Rising's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brayleigh Mast, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base.

Waynedale's record now sits at 4-7. As for Triway, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waynedale will welcome Dalton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Triway, they will be playing at home against Wooster at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
