Independence is 9-1 against East Mecklenburg since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Independence Patriots will host the East Mecklenburg Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Independence has given up an average of 2.8 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Independence came up short against Providence on Thursday, falling 6-1. The Patriots have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between East Mecklenburg and Olympic, and East Mecklenburg kept the tradition alive. East Mecklenburg blew past Olympic 7-1 on Wednesday. It was an even better day for Nora Byrne as she scored three goals for her team.

East Mecklenburg's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matches. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Independence beat East Mecklenburg by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 1-0. Does Independence have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Mecklenburg turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
