The Wheatland Pirates will stay at home for another week and welcome the Franklin Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
Wheatland is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Colfax on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Wheatland had to suffer through a 40-13 loss at the hands of Colfax. Meanwhile, Franklin beat Cosumnes Oaks 19-6 on Tuesday.
Aletha Singleton was a one-man wrecking crew for Franklin as she rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 75 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards Singleton has posted since back in September. Kalani Phearson was another key player, throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns.
