Softball Game Preview: St. Paul's Big Red vs. Choate Rosemary Hall School Wild Boars

The St. Paul's Big Red will venture away from home to challenge the Choate Rosemary Hall School Wild Boars at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Paul's will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, St. Paul's sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Phillips Academy.

Heather Cotter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, St. Paul's let Charlotte Voge and Jade Hill run wild. Voge went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Hill got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Choate Rosemary Hall School put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Kingswood Oxford by a score of 5-2.

St. Paul's pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Choate Rosemary Hall School, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
