Recap: Kimball Longhorns vs. Bridgeport Bulldogs

The Kimball Longhorns suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Bridgeport at home and fell 66-18. Kimball has struggled against Bridgeport recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grace Anderson, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Kimball struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Bridgeport racked up 16 assists.

Olivia Loomis-goltl continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bridgeport, scoring 24 points along with five steals. Loomis-goltl has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella Schluterbusch, who scored 15 points along with five steals.

Kimball has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Bridgeport, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Kimball will head out on the road to square off against Chase County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bridgeport won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mitchell at 3:30 p.m. on January 13th. Mitchell has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14.
