Toppenish extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 4-15 in the process. They came up short against the Prosser Mustangs, falling 15-6. Surprisingly, this marked the Wildcats' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for Prosser, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-13-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games.

For Prosser's part, Layla Barnhart made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave Barnhart a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Prosser got a massive performance out of Mallory Barnhart, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave Barnhart a new career-high. Hannah Beck was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Prosser beat Toppenish by a score of 15-6 later that day.
