Baseball Game Preview: Potomac School Panthers vs. Calhoun Academy Cavaliers

The Potomac School Panthers will head out to face off against the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Potomac School comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Tuesday, Potomac School came up short against Germantown Academy and fell 7-2.

Jake Adamec made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Will Piester also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Calhoun Academy beat St. Stephen's & St. Agnes 11-7 on Tuesday.

Chase Strickland was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Joseph Lyons, who went 1-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Calhoun Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. Potomac School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
