Soccer Game Preview: Western Harnett vs. E.E. Smith

The Western Harnett Eagles will head out to challenge the E.E. Smith Golden Bulls at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Things were looking good for Western Harnett after they put the first goal on the board last Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Triton by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, E.E. Smith kept a clean sheet against Westover on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Wolverines 1-0. E.E. Smith haven't had any issues with Westover recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Western Harnett dropped their record down to 3-13-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for E.E. Smith, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.

Everything went Western Harnett's way against E.E. Smith in their previous meeting on April 8th, as Western Harnett made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
