Basketball Recap: Veritas Academy Takes a Loss

Veritas Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 64-21 loss at the hands of The Habersham School Patriots. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gryphon this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-18 back in November.

The Habersham School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Whitt Sullivan, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Daniil Phillips, who scored 12 points.

Veritas Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for The Habersham School, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Veritas Academy has already played their next contest, a 44-43 win against Heritage Christian Academy on the 10th. As for The Habersham School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-32 loss against Bible Baptist Christian on the 6th.
