Baseball Recap: Hempfield Black Knights vs. Ephrata Mountaineers
Hempfield had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Ephrata Mountaineers a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Black Knights haven't had any issues with the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Brayden Hostetter was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April.
Hempfield hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matchups.
