Basketball Game Preview: Linden Lions vs. Riverbank Bruins

The Linden Lions will head out to challenge the Riverbank Bruins at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Linden's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

Linden took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Big Valley Christian by a score of 67-60. The score was all tied up 32-32 at the break, but Linden was the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Riverbank was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They were dealt a 66-33 loss at the hands of Calaveras.

Linden has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Riverbank, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.

Linden was dealt a bruising 74-22 loss at the hands of Riverbank in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Linden was down 47-16.
