Baseball Recap: Bruceville-Eddy's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Bruceville-Eddy can bid farewell to their 20-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Bremond Tigers 8-7. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jackson Miller made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Miller was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jack Dockstader was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Dockstader, who scored a run and stole three bases.

Bruceville-Eddy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bruceville-Eddy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Bremond, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
