Oswego strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Oswego East Wolves 9-3. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Kiyah Chavez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Adalynn Fugitt, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Oswego's win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Oswego East, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Oswego and Oswego East should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Panthers (ranked fourth) will meet Downers Grove North (ranked 172nd) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Oswego 2.2, the Trojans 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Oswego East will square off against Naperville North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (190 vs. 381).
