Columbia had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 13-10 win over the Granger Spartans. While the Coyotes didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Columbia's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Granger, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia will head out to square off against Mabton at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Granger, they will venture away from home to challenge White Swan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. This will be Granger's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
