Hesston Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Karter Gonzalez

Karter Gonzalez was instrumental in extending Hesston's winning streak to six on Friday. Gonzalez rushed for 232 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Braxton Creed Delivers Electric Effort Vs Ellsworth

Halstead found a leader in Braxton Creed as the squad took down Ellsworth on Friday. Nobody could stop Creed as he rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 137 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Halstead's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. Creed and Halstead will head out on the road to challenge Southeast of Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Taye Wilson Turns in Another Game with at Least Two Rushing Touchdowns

Taye Wilson continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards.

For the year, Wilson has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 126.7 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five rushing touchdowns.
