Basketball Recap: Greenback Comes Up Short

Greenback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 70-23 loss at the hands of the Sweetwater Wildcats. The Cherokees were probably out for revenge after losing 63-27 to them when the teams met back in November of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Greenback's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sweetwater, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Greenback will face off against Rockwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greenback is facing Rockwood at the right time seeing as Rockwood is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Sweetwater, they will host Gibbs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
