Baseball Recap: Foothill Gets the Win

Foothill won the last time they faced Shadow Ridge and things went their way on Thursday too. The Falcons came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 9-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Brayden Stidham looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Matthew Szymarek was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Will Gibson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Foothill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Foothill's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Shadow Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foothill will face off against Silverado at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Shadow Ridge, they will challenge Green Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
