Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. Madison

The Lincoln Tigers will face off against the Madison Trojans at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Lincoln's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Lincoln is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals last Wednesday, they were much more limited against Kimball on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to Conrad. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 806th, while the Chargers are ranked 231st).

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything went Lincoln's way against Madison when the teams last played back in January, as Lincoln made off with an 8-0 win. Does Lincoln have another victory up their sleeve, or will Madison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
