Football Recap: Armuchee Comes Up Short

Armuchee extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They took a blow against the Gordon Lee Trojans, falling 61-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 42-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Gordon Lee, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 27 points or more this season.

Gordon Lee was led to victory by Dustin Day and Dyllan Currie. Day punched in one rushing score, while Currie rushed for 29 yards and one score. That's the most rushing yards Currie has posted since back in October of 2024.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Armuchee is set to challenge their familiar foe Fannin County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Devyn Davis and Bryson Cole. Meanwhile, Gordon Lee will take on rival Gordon Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
