Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Bulldogs vs. North Hopkins Panthers
On Saturday, the Edgewood Bulldogs didn't have quite enough to beat the North Hopkins Panthers and fell 3-2. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Edgewood took North Hopkins into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-22, 23-25, 23-25, 17-15.
Berklie Bigham paced Edgewood's offense, picking up 15 kills. Bigham got some help from
Khrisy Prince and her 36 assists. Bigham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Edgewood now has a losing record at 18-19. As for North Hopkins, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 34-8.
Edgewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against West Rusk on the 4th. North Hopkins has also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy on the 4th.
