Basketball Game Preview: Luverne Tigers vs. Highland Home Flying Squadron

Luverne is 2-8 against Highland Home since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Luverne Tigers will take on the Highland Home Flying Squadron in a tournament on Thursday. Luverne will be strutting in after a victory while Highland Home will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Luverne turned things around against New Brockton on Tuesday. They snuck past the Gamecocks with a 53-47 win.

Meanwhile, Highland Home was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-52 heartbreaker at the hands of Brantley.

Highland Home's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Luverne, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.

Luverne barely slipped by Highland Home in their previous matchup back in January, winning 37-36. Does Luverne have another victory up their sleeve, or will Highland Home turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
