Softball Recap: Iowa Takes a Loss

If Iowa was riding high fresh off their 16-0 takedown of LaGrange last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Iowa came up short against Kinder on Thursday, falling 8-2. Iowa has struggled against Kinder recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Iowa's loss dropped their record down to 23-10. As for Kinder, their record is now 16-3.

Looking ahead, Iowa will square off against DeQuincy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Kinder, they will venture away from home to take on Anacoco at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
