Baseball Game Preview: Westside Rams vs. Emerald Vikings

The Westside Rams will take on the Emerald Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Westside nor Clover made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Rams fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by just one run.

Westside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Caudle, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Emerald was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Fountain Inn, falling 12-1.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Emerald, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Westside beat Emerald 5-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
