Portal has gone 10-0 against Jenkins County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Portal Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jenkins County War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Portal turned things around against Southeast Bulloch on Saturday. They strolled past the Yellow Jackets with points to spare, taking the game 44-27.

It was another big night for Brian Mcqueen, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kj Hunter, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Jenkins County didn't have too much trouble with Claxton on Friday as they won 62-46.

Jenkins County is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Portal, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.

Everything came up roses for Portal against Jenkins County in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-31 victory. Will Portal repeat their success, or does Jenkins County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
