Volleyball Recap: Valwood Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Valwood walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Dominion Christian Knights on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Valiants as they're now sitting on three straight.

Elizabeth Edenfield was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 16 digs and two aces. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high. Annalee Studstill also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Valwood was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They are a perfect 12-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Valwood's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Dominion Christian, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-7.

Valwood has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Brookstone on the 4th. Dominion Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
