Chiles waltzed into their contest on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Lincoln Trojans get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Timberwolves have won by exactly ten runs.

Chiles got a massive performance out of Adelyn Matthews, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. What's more, Matthews posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Fagan, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Chiles hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive matchups.

Chiles pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chiles will host Altha at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Timberwolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Lincoln, they will square off against Madison County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
