Recap: Strawberry Crest Chargers vs. Newsome Wolves
With a playoff game on the line, the Strawberry Crest Chargers rose to the challenge on Monday. They managed a 30-26 win over the Wolves. The victory was just what Strawberry Crest needed coming off of a 43-23 defeat in their prior matchup.
Strawberry Crest had a senior duo take command as Elektra Ribot scored 11 points along with five steals and Jenna Tia scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tia has scored all season.
Strawberry Crest's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Newsome, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.
Strawberry Crest's road trip will continue as they head out to face Sumner at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Sumner is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season. Newsome does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
