Volleyball Recap: Northside Comes Up Short

Northside's tournament run continued when they took on Palatine on Friday. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Pirates. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18.

Maia Khetani paced Northside's offense, picking up seven kills. Khetani got some help from Lily Fisher and her ten assists. Sophia Nguyen controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Palatine, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-4.

Northside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Warren Township on the 17th. As for Palatine, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Saint Viator on the 17th.
