Basketball Recap: Cook Comes Up Short

Cook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pierce County Bears. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly three points.

Cook's loss dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Pierce County, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-16.

Cook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pierce County, they will face off against Appling County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
