Mt. Olive won the last time they faced East Alton-Wood River and Lauren Bailey did her part to make sure it happened again. The Wildcats strolled past the Oilers with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 55-37 for which the team can thank Bailey, who posted 31 points along with five boards and three steals. She has become a key player for Mt. Olive: the team is undefeated when she posts at least 25 points, but 4-10 otherwise.

Mt. Olive's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for East Alton-Wood River, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-20.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Olive won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Greene at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Alton-Wood River, they will square off against Breese Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
