Football Recap: Ferndale Comes Up Short + How To Watch

While it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Ferndale was not quite Stanwood's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 21-14 to the Spartans. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 14-7 to the Spartans when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chandler Hansen threw for 33 yards on three of eight attempts. On the ground, Jonathon Stanek rushed for 87 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

Ferndale now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Stanwood, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Ferndale will welcome Snohomish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Stanwood, they will head out on the road to challenge Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
