Baseball Game Preview: Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars vs. Goldendale Timberwolves

Tri-Cities Prep is a perfect 8-0 against Goldendale since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Jaguars will venture away from home to take on the Timberwolves at 3:00 p.m. Tri-Cities Prep will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Tri-Cities Prep's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Columbia with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Jaguars have won 12 games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brycen Calderon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jameson Elliott, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Aiden McCabe was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Tri-Cities Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .370 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Goldendale fell victim to Cle Elum-Roslyn and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 15-0. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Goldendale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Tri-Cities Prep, their record is now 17-0.

Everything went Tri-Cities Prep's way against Goldendale in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Tri-Cities Prep made off with a 10-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
