Basketball Game Preview: Campbell County Camels vs. Thunder Basin Bolts

The Campbell County Camels will venture away from home to square off against the Thunder Basin Bolts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thunder Basin took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Campbell County, who comes in off a win.

Campbell County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Laramie, who was ranked 24th at the time (Campbell County was ranked 13th). Campbell County came out on top against Laramie by a score of 53-43 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Camels.

Meanwhile, Thunder Basin played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 66-38 defeat at the hands of Central. The Bolts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Campbell County will need focus on slowing down Ashtyn Ketchum, one of several Thunder Basin players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Rouse, who put up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Thunder Basin's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Campbell County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Everything went Campbell County's way against Thunder Basin in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Campbell County made off with a 53-33 win. Does Campbell County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Thunder Basin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
