Volleyball Recap: Western Branch Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Western Branch entered their match against Indian River on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bruins took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braves. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Western Branch started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 28-26, 25-23, 25-20.

Western Branch's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Indian River, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Western Branch will face off against rival Oscar Smith at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Indian River is set to take on their familiar foe Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
