Volleyball Recap: Scott Takes a Loss

Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Lima Senior Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-7, 25-2.

Lima Senior's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alisandra Vanmeter, who had six aces and four digs. Vanmeter has been hot recently, having posted five or more aces the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Nylah Houston, who had six aces and one assist.

Scott's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lima Senior, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Scott is taking a road trip to challenge Rossford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lima Senior, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rogers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
