Basketball Recap: David Parrot's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Burlingame over Half Moon Bay

It was a proper cat-fight when Burlingame took on Half Moon Bay on Wednesday. The Burlingame Panthers fell 61-50 to the Half Moon Bay Cougars. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was David Parrot, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Pilot Eis, who went 5 of 7 en route to 14 points.

Burlingame's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Half Moon Bay, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

Burlingame will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Half Moon Bay, they will challenge Carlmont at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
