Baseball Game Preview: Manville Mustangs vs. Bound Brook Crusaders

For the second straight game, Manville will face off against Bound Brook. The Mustangs will face off against the Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Manville took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Bound Brook get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Brandon Wright was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Tyler Johnson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Manville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bound Brook only posted a batting average of .062.

Manville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Bound Brook, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
